| 摘要 | Historical，philosophical，religious, geographical，and cultural contexts of Tibetan ritual music frame a discussion of the musicological aspects of the ritual ceremony Padmasambhava dbyangs-yig. The ceremony is performed by the Karma-Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism; its origin is credited to Padmasambhava, the renowned Indian scholar responsible for transmitting Buddhist practices to the Tibetans in the 8th c. During the ceremony，the chanting of ritual texts in the dbyangs style alternate with instrumental musical sections, with the goal of affecting the practitioner's deepest recesses of mind and being. |
