| 摘要 | This volume fulfills the dual role of recording the formal papers presented at The Second East-West Philosopher's Conference held in 1949 and at the same time provides an unusually lucid and comprehensive summary of many of the root principles and systems in historical and contemporary oriental philosophy. Numerous western philosophers point out some of the similarities and contrasts between eastern and western philosophy. In an introduction and a final chapter，C. A. Moore introduces this attempt at philosophical synthesis and summarizes the results of the conference. |
