| 摘要 | A review of "Transmitting the Forms of Divinity：Early Buddhist Art from Korea and Japan," an exhibition at the Japan Society in New York from April 9 to June 22，2003. This display of almost 100 ancient treasures provides a rare opportunity to explore Korean influences on the development of Buddhist art in Japan. Its major conclusion is that Japanese，Korean Buddhist art，or even，perhaps, some Chinese art and architectural forms, would not have developed as they did without this vital cross-cultural ferment. |
