| 摘要 | A mixture of Buddhism and Christianity, Mahikari, of Japanese origin, has been gaining a great deal of success in Martinique and Guadeloupe. Based on the observation of practices and analysis of accounts of conversions, the following article shows how the traditional magical-religious system in Guadeloupe - in its relation to the dead and to spirits, its initiation practices, its witchcraft - is profiled behind the practices and doctrines of Mahikari. Refusing to admit its precarious situation in face of colonial ideology, the traditional culture attempts, by means of this sect, to find a new legitimation. |
