| 摘要 | In the case of a "svabhavahetu" the generalisation is based on identity. such general statements are true by virtue of meaning，but they are not contentless. this is in disagreement with a currently popular view that statements true by virtue of meaning must be contentless. the threefold classification of such general statements proposed by dharmakirti has been explained. |
