| 摘要 | The paper forms part of a comprehensive study entitled "The Nature of Nature" which critically explores Western and Eastern views of nature. "The Nature of Buddhism" examines Theravada, Vijnanavada and Madhyamika views of nature. Doing so it attempts to prove that notions of "nature" were not only an important part of the teaching of these Buddhist schools, but that they，in turn，determined to some extent "the nature of Buddhism," i.e.，the self-understanding of Buddhism. Nature，if seen with Buddhist eyes, is a vehicle of Buddha's revelation. |
