| 摘要 | 阿根廷作家波赫士的短篇小說，常富有與禪宗思想契的意趣。本論文透過禪的觀點來闡釋他的十多篇小說，說明波赫士與禪如何引領人跳脫心智的樊籬，並開發其直覺以經驗超越物質世界的實相。首章定義波赫士為一神秘思想家，並發掘其短篇小說中神秘（主義）性的關懷與特質。而第二章則簡介佛教禪宗，且指出與波赫士相合的神秘性的特質。第三章開始比較波赫士與禪家對實相的洞見。二者皆認為真正的智慧與溝通超越了書本與語言，而人的心智與實相無法共存。第四章檢驗人類心智的二元性，討論二者如何超越二元相對性以及罪惡感，並達成平視一切眾生的無分別之心。最後，第五章呈現了二者如何透過真正的抽離與內在的棄俗來超越自我。當自我消失，人便能飛出心智所造的迷宮，進入實相。 The Argentine writer Borges often reveal in his short stories the spirit that one can also find in Zen. Through a n reading of his selected short stories this thesis attempts to illustrate how Borges and Zen lead man break through the limitationof his reasoning mind, and bring out his intuition to experience Reality that transcends the physical dimensions. The first chapter defines Borges as a mystic thinker andints out the mystical concerns and haracteristics in his short stories. While the second chapter gives a general introduction of Zen, and shows its mystical features that share a common ground with Borges. The third chapter begins to compare Borges and Zen''s visions of Reality, revealing that true wisdom andommunication are beyond books and words, and that man''s mind and Reality cannot co-exist. The fourth chapter then comes to examine the dualistic nature of man''s mind, discussing how Borges and Zen transcend mind''s duality and the idea of guilt, and how they attain the undifferentiating insights to all human races. Then finally in chapter five, there presents Borges and Zen''s transcendence over ego through true detachment and inner renunciation, illustrating that when man''s ego vanishes, he can fly out of the labyrinth which is made by his mind and reach the Reality beyond. |
