| 摘要 | 北宋學術之開展，是在其排佛之時代精神中所形成的. 可是學者於此時儒釋交涉之研究，率以理學家之排佛論為主，而將儒生之排佛論略略帶過，並且甚少探討釋子於排佛思潮中之因應態度與方法. 本文則以仁宗時在反排佛方面最具代表性之釋契嵩為研究對象，以稍彌補歷來學者於北宋學術所略而不詳之部分. 全文分四章：壹. 諸論：北宋之佛教環境與契嵩. 說明契嵩所處之佛教環境，及契嵩之生平與學術，以觀契嵩於此環境中之因應與自處之道. 貳. 北宋儒生之排佛論. 從歷來儒釋交涉中諸命題之演進，說明北宋儒生排佛論之特色所在，以觀契嵩反排佛所針對者為何. 參. 契嵩之反排佛論. 說明契嵩佛為儒本之思想體系，及契嵩如何因應儒生之排佛論，以觀契嵩之反排佛. 肆. 結論：契嵩反排佛論之地位. 從對晉慧遠與契嵩於反排佛之比較，及北宋理學家排佛論與契嵩反排佛論之比較，以觀契嵩於儒釋交涉史與北宋儒釋交涉中之地位.

Abstract
The advancement of the Northern Sung Dynasty's academic learning was started and fostered by the spirit expressed by then scholars who opposed the Buddhism. The scholars in the later dynasties usually took up the themes of philosophers at that time as their main reference as those philosophical scholars opposed Buddhism. They made light touch upon the discussions against Buddhism by then Confucianists. Even they rarely did explore and study the manners and ways in which Buddhists and monks dealt with the campaign launched by the scholars against Buddhism at that time in respect to the different thoughts which caused the great dispute in the intellectual movement. In this study，the writer selected Chi Sung as the object for his study who was typical one who did not favor the opposition against Buddhism during Jen Chung Regime in the Sung Dynasty. The writer intends to make up long neglected portion of stories amidst the Northern Sung Dynasty's academic learning，which had been slighted and not discussed by most of scholars since that time. The thesis is divided into four chapters ：It discusses the position of Chi Sung's opposition against the Exclusion of Buddhism Movement by the writer's comparing Chi Sung's thought with Hui Yuan of the chin Dynasty and his comparing Chi Sung's thought against the Exclusion of Buddhism Movement with the thought of the Northern Sung's philosophical scholars who advocated the exclusion of Buddhism.
Such comparisons would highlight the importance of Chi Sung's position in the confrontation between the Buddhists and Confucianists in the Northern Sung Dynasty and its history. |
