| 摘要 | The article points out the fundamental difference between western and eastern aesthetics：while western art is essentially anthropocentric，the celebration of man's domination over the rest of the world，eastern art presupposes a receptive and meditative attitude of the mind that tends to represent humanity within a natural context. In support of this thesis, various authors and texts are cited and commented upon：Plato，Aristotle，Giannozzo Manetti，Kant and Hegel on the one hand，and the author of "chandogya" (one of the "upanishads")，the Japanese Buddhist priest Kukai，the Indian aesthetician Abhinavagupta, the Taoist poet T'ao Ch'ien and the Zen poet Basho on the other hand. |
