| 摘要 | The author argues that recent discoveries in cognitive science and neurobiology concerning how people learn show that the time has come to integrate contemplative methodology into academic disciplines. The author offers as a model a course she created and taught entitled "Borges, Buddhism, and Cognitive Science." The course investigates the Argentine writer's lifelong study of Buddhism and incorporates a laboratory element in which students learned and practiced principles of meditation. |
