Certain characteristics of the spreading and development of Buddhism in Guangdong are shown in the Yüan Dynasty. During this period, Tibetan Buddhism was disseminated to Guangdong. Competed with Confucianism in its development, Buddhism even bullied Confucianism. Mongol rulers expressed their attitude to the Dayton Zen by supporting and protecting Nanhua temple. It s an important aspect of the spreading and development of Buddhism in the Yüan dynasty in Guangdong. To repair and reconstruct the temples, pagodas, and statues, and a prevailing style to construct temples and pagodas are important proof.
