The distinctness of geographic culture brings up the differences of Buddhist architectural art between Chinese and Japanese temples,which shows the different kinds of forms and meanings.Chinese temples are in neat formation,focusing on pure psychic world,while Japanese temples look at Zen s manner and self-communion.This article analyses site selection,format pattern and atmosphere of space,in order to reveal the differences between Chinese and Japanese temples.
