| 摘要 | A biography of Hsüan Hua, founder of the Institute for World Religions, is presented. He was born in a small village in Manchuria, China in 1918. He attended school for only two years and opened a free school for both children and adults when he was a teenager. He meditated in a hut beside his mother's grave to honor her and entered the San Yuan monastery to end his mourning where he was ordained as Buddhist monk |
