The Zhong ben qi jing is one of the Buddha's biographies translated in Chinese. According to The Chu san ji ji, oldest catalogue of Buddhist scripture, The Zhong ben qi jing was translated in the Hou han era by Kan meng xiang. This scripture records 15 kinds of stories after the Enlightmentof Sakaya Buddha. In this paper, I performed a comparative study of mahāpajāpatī-notāmi in the Ju tan mi lai zuo pi qiu ni pin and other documents. As a result, I point out that this story belong to sarāsitivāda-tradition that conveyed The Zhong a han jing and the Ju tan mi ji guo jing, and point out that the Ju tan mi lai zuo pi qiu ni pin was added to The Zhong ben qi jing in place of the Da ai dao pin.
