作為生活樣態的佛教信仰 -- 論唐代《冥報小說》的文化內涵=The Creed about Buddhism as a Kind of Secular Life Style: Cultural Connotation about Stories Writing the Retribution in the Hell in Tang Dynasty
It is not a pure creed, but a product of a creed about Buddhism integ ra ting with social structure of clan that the secular creed about Buddhism which r eflected in Tang Dynasty’s stories writing the retribution in the hell. When it played an important part in society, the creed about Buddhism showed a kind of s ecular life style which was a kind of display of people’s need of psychology and spirit. In all ideas of living in Tang Dynasty, people’s low recognition level and cultural destination made a creed filled with menace to be not only a kind o f restraint force but a kind of basic need of society. In this sense, we can say that Tang Dynasty’s stories writing the retribution in the hell was the reflect ion of the history of the custom and spirit of Tang Dynasty.
