By analyzing the background, birth and activities of the Young Men's Buddhist Association of Myanmar, this article concludes that it has played a special role in the modem history of Myanmar. It is the first modem nationalism organization in Myanmar history, which arouses the common nationalism consciousness of Myanmar, makes them care about the politics of the country, especially the fate of the country, and pushes them to know the world outside Myanmar. It also makes the mordem nationalism movement in Myanmar be connected with that in world especially in Asia, and branded in religion form from the very beginning. And its strategy and method for leadership provides some experience for the later nationalism movement in Myanmar.
