| 摘要 | 在古代中國 ,不論是官方往來、民間交流 ,或是其他方式的交往 ,終究受制于一定條件。而且 ,由于政治制度、文化背景乃至風俗習慣的差異 ,各地之間的交流往往存在著很深的隔閡乃至偏見。惟有佛教文化例外。魏晉南北朝時期的絕大部分統治集團 ,多視佛教為神明 ,頂禮膜拜。因此 ,各地的佛教文化交流幾乎是無條件的。六朝僧侶作為文化交流的特殊使者 ,縱橫南北 ,往來東西 ,在傳播佛教文化的同時 ,也在傳遞著其他豐富的文化信息。其影響所及 ,不僅滲透到當時社會的各個階層 ,而且在很大程度上改變了中國文化的發展方向。從長安、洛陽、建康、涼州四大文化中心的興衰及其文化交流的若干途徑看 ,從僧侶自身的文學創作、佛教思想對于中古詩律演變、中古文學題材、中古文學思想的巨大影響等方面看 ,六朝僧侶在魏晉南北朝時期的文化傳播過程中 ,的確起到了特殊和重要的作用。 [Abstract] Communication—whether official, non-governmental or otherwise—was limited in ancient China. People in different places held deep-rooted misunderstandings and prejudices toward each other due to differences of political system, cultural background and custom. Buddhist culture, however, was an exception. Most dynastic rulers of the Wei, Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties believed in and promoted Buddhism, providing every convenience for circulating and exchanging its culture. Buddhist monks played a special role in spreading this culture along with other cultural information. Their influence permeated all social strata of the time, altering the direction of Chinese cultural development in no small measure. The special role and significance of Buddhist clergy of the Six Dynasties in cultural communication is reflected in the rise and decline of the four major cultural centers of Chang’an, Luoyang, Jiankang and Liangzhou, in modes of cultural exchange and literary creation by Buddhist monks , and in a pronounced Buddhist influence on medieval Chinese literature. |
