| 摘要 | Osho's theory of the psychology of the Buddhas proposes that the cultivation of the state of conscious awareness will result in right action, thus alleviating intrapersonal conflicts that contribute to destructive behaviors. The method for testing the applicability of the proposed theory of consciousness is an analysis of Osho's own behavior. The behavior analysis is performed in 2 stages: (a) a heuristic interpretation of Osho's behavior is analyzed from the set and setting model (Leary, Litwin, and Metzner, 1963), (b) an analysis of Osho's behaviors is made from 3 subjective perspectives. The preliminary analysis substantiates the set and setting hypothesis that the researcher's attitudes and beliefs, and the context or expectation from which the subject's behavior is analyzed, reveal as much or more about the observer than they do about the observed. Results indicate that observational and historical methods of research are insufficient to provide definitive analyses of behavior. |
