| 摘要 | The purpose of this study is to consider the canons of the measurement of pasada type of Buddhist monastic architecture in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. In this paper, I analyze the measurement of the main parts of the building, especially the intercolumniation and the base, with the measurement data and the descriptions of traditional architectural texts. And I concluded the process of determining the intercolumniations as follows. At first the distances between corner pillars were roughly divided into same intercolumniations with unit measurement. Then vastupurusamandala was drawn on the building area and pillars that stood at the vulnerable points of this mandala were moved from their original positions. |
