| 摘要 | This study explores the incidence of Buddhist themes in the works of Eudora Welty. It suggests ways in which Welty, with no direct exposure to the teachings of Buddhism, was able to awaken to an enlightened understanding of life consonant with the core concepts of Buddhism. Numerous examples of Buddhist themes, such as the oneness or interconnectedness of life, the equality of all humanity, and the sanctity of life, are cited from the Weltian oeuvre. It shows that Welty's holistic vision shines a light of wisdom and hope, thereby inviting her readers to gain similar insights into life's mysteries.
