| 摘要 | This article looks at the teamwork that was necessary to build the first railroad that connects China with Tibet. The railroad had been planned for more than 40 years. Many Tibetans are afraid that the railroad will allow China to takeover and cause them to lose their independence. The railroad has already changed the face of the city of Lhasa. The climate and geography of the area presented the biggest difficulties to construction of the railroad, but engineers like Zhang Luxin worked together to overcome the problems.
