| 摘要 | The article presents information on the life of the Buddhist deity, Gautama Buddha, and his association with the date, "December 8." Prince Siddartha renounced the world in search of truth, and spent the life of a mendicant wondering into the deep Indian jungles and finally on this day he attained enlightenment under the bodhi tree, a kind of a fig tree. He directed his disciples to be useful to one another and not to be stay idle. He preached non-violence and to worked towards the happiness of all living beings. |
