| 摘要 | The article informs that CNA launches an RN-to-RN effort in Sri Lanka. As reports on South Asia's tsunami flooded the airwaves and newspapers, CNA leaders, like many RNs, gathered to discuss what CNA could do to help. Many of CNA's 60,000 registered nurse members had begun calling to ask how they could use their skills and expertise in disaster relief efforts. CNA had a personal connection to the public-sector union for Sri Lankan RNs, the Public Services United Nurses Union (PSUNU), which represents approximately 30,000 nurses. The connection to PSUNU is a natural, as the union is an activist group that elected a Buddhist priest as its president and waged a campaign to stop unlicensed assistive personnel from doing work within the RNs scope of practice. |
