| 摘要 | 在本文中，我所要探討的是從「禪」的角度來比較《西遊記》和《天路歷程》中精神層次的旅程。在這兩部作品中，主角們所經歷的具體旅程其實是每個人內在的心靈之旅，從「禪」（Chan）的角度來詮釋時更是如此。作品中唐三藏和天路客（Christian）在旅程中歷經的種種 苦難其實是在「回歸本心」的過程中所必須體驗的心靈障礙。然而，從禪的觀點看來，這些障礙卻是旅程中，堅定主角「信心」（Faith）所不可缺少的要素。也就是《信心銘》中所說的「至道無難，唯嫌揀擇」，在逆境中也能處之泰然，堅忍不拔。本文所要探討的便是從禪學的角度來探討這兩部作品中主角的心靈旅程。 In The Journey to the West and Pilgrim's Progress, I want to explore what the mind means from the viewpoint of Ch'an. During the course of the characters' external journey, the physical hindrances symbolize inward struggles that block the road to spiritual enlightenment. Hence we can also regard the external journey as the symbol of an internal journey. |
