| 摘要 | Into the Silence consisted of 250 drawings of pears on small newspaper-covered wood blocks that were arranged in ordered groupings in an atmospheric gallery installation meant to encourage silent contemplation. A Zen poem by Master Qing Yuan, which presents a process of perceptual and rational study, was the primary inspiration for the methodical production of each image. The project is a record of both my attempt to step into the world of silence through direct observation of nature and the evolution of my creative and spiritual transformation. |
