| 摘要 | Literary criticism in the West has often been slow in acknowledging the ways in which Eastern thought has informed texts, movements, and even theory. This is very much the case with the work of Marguerite Yourcenar. As the first woman in the French Academy and author of novels such as Memoires d'Hadrien and L'Oeuvre au noir , Yourcenar is often considered more traditional than innovative and the majority of scholarship on her work revolves around issues of myth, history, and Antiquity. Less well known is that fact that Yourcenar was deeply involved--both personally and intellectually--with Buddhism, in particular Tibetan tantrism and Japanese Zen. |
