| 抄録 | 太虛大師與印順法師是二十世紀漢傳佛教兩位傑出思想家，印順法師一直受太虛大師思想的影響，並追隨大師為復興中國佛教而努力。印順法師雖受太虛大師法乳之恩，但其佛學思想則頗具「愛吾師更愛真理」的理性特質，而太虛大師本人對這種思想差異，亦體現出對後輩的極大包容。二位大師的這種「和而不同」之關係，實為 20 世紀佛教史上的一段佳話。不過，由於印順法師所撰《印度之佛教》一書曾引發與太虛大師的法義之辯，這本是一次正常的學術思想討論，卻常常被後來反對印順法師佛學思想的人故意曲解，試圖引發人們對兩位大師思想與關係的錯誤解讀，這種曲解在 2016 年底的「惠山會議」中達到頂峰。因此，在兩位大師努力推動的人間佛教思想深刻影響漢語系佛教的今天，理當正本清源，還原事實，正確認識兩位大師之間的師生關係。 Master Tai-xu and Master Yin-shun were two prominent thinkers in Chinese Buddhism in the twentieth century. Master Yin-shun had always been influenced by the thinking of Master Tai-xu and followed him and revived Chinese Buddhism with efforts. Indebted to Master Tai-xu , Master Yin-shun’s Buddhist thoughts had the traits of reason, which means he loved his Plato, but he loved Truth more. Master Tai-xu himself also showed his great acceptance for this young generation about their difference in thinking. That the "harmony but different" relationship between these two masters became a story in the history of 20th century Buddhism. However, Master Yin-shun’s book, Indian Buddhism, had ever raised the debate on the meaning of dharma with Master Tai-xu, which was originally a normal academic discussion of thought, but the debate was lead to be deliberately misinterpreted and be misread the thought and relationship of these two masters. This distortion culminated in the “Huishan Conference” at the end of 2016. Therefore, today Chinese Buddhism is deeply affected by the thought of Buddhism in the human realm, promoted by Master Tai-xu and Master Yin- shun, clarifying matters and getting to the bottom of things, we should disclose the truth to be able to truly understand this teacher-student relationship between these two masters. |
