| Abstract | 다르마끼르띠(法稱,600-660)는 7세기 인도의 불교사상가이다. 화이트헤드(白頭,1861-1947)는 20세기 영국의 과정철학자이다. 이 논문은 다르마끼르띠의 vastu와 화이트헤드의 actual entity를 비교하고 있다. 다시 말하면 다르마끼르띠의 vastu는 화이트헤드의 actual entity에 상당한다. vastu와 actual entity는 이 세계를 구성하는 궁극적 사물이다. vastu와 actual entity를 넘어 보다 더 실재적인 존재를 발견할 수 없다. 다르마끼르띠와 화이트헤드는, vastu와 actual entity의 본질은 ‘변화’가 아니라 ‘찰나멸’이라 주장한다.
Dharmakīrti(法稱, 600～660) is Buddhist Thinker of India in 7th Century. Whitehead(白頭, 1861～1947) is Process Philosophy of England in 20th Century. This Paper compares Dharmakīrti's vastu with Whitehead's actual entity. In other words, Dharmakīrti's vastu corresponds to Whitehead's actual entity. Vastu and Actual entity is ‘the final real thing of which the world is made up. There is no going behind vastu and actual entity to find anything more real.' Dharmakīrti and Whitehead insist that the essence of vastu and actual entity is not ‘change’, but ‘momentariness’. |
