| Abstract | 西藏歷史悠久，西藏的教育文化是中華民族文化教育歷史寶庫中充滿光輝的組成部分。當前，面對西部大開發的難得機遇和全面建設小康社會的宏偉目標，西藏學校教育如何應對諸多挑戰，加快發展，為地方經濟發展和社會全面進步培養大量高素質創新人才是教育研究的需要內容。本研究立足西藏教育發展歷史的特殊性，以西藏宗教寺院這一特殊教育形式的演變過程為線索，從宗教寺院教育與西藏特殊的宗教文化、自然環境和生產方式的相互影響的角度，詳細剖析了西藏宗教寺院教育對西藏學校教育發展的積極效應和消極效應。在其基礎上，作者提出了深化西藏教育改革，加快自治區學校教育發展的初步設想。
